L'UE en 2030 : exercice de politique fiction

Jean Quatremer has been reporting on European news for the French newspaper since 1990. He first studied European and international law, then worked at the French Conseil d'Etat and Cour de Cassation. He then turned to journalism, and now also holds the blog "Coulisses de Bruxelles" in which he comments the daily news of the EU. He also authored (or co-authored) Ces hommes qui ont fait l'euro, querelles et ambitions européennes (in collaboration with Thomas Klau, published by Les Editions Plon in March 1999), of Les maîtres de l'Europe (in collaboration with Yves Clarisse, published by Grasset in May 2005) and of Du Larzac à Bruxelles(collection of interviews with José Bové, published by Les Editions du Cherche-Midi in 2011). He also realised the closing interview for the manifesto Debout l'Europe! by Guy Verhofstadt and Daniel Cohn-Bendit.

 

Frédéric Mérand is a professor in the department of political science at the Université de Montréal, guest professor of European Studies at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, assistant director of the European Union Centre of Excellence (Université de Montréal/McGill) and assistant director of the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (Université de Montréal/McGill). He is associate publisher of Politique européenne, the only peer-reviewed French-language journal dedicated to the European Union. His work on European security, political networks, transatlantic relations and the sociology of the European Union has been published in journals including Security Studies, the Journal of Common Market StudiesComparative European Politics and Cooperation and Conflict.

Martial Foucault is a professor in the political science department of the Université de Montréal. Since 2011, he has been director of the European Union Centre of Excellence. His work deals with political economy, public policy and electoral behaviour. He is the author of some 20 articles (published in the American Journal of Political ScienceWest European Politicsthe British Journal of Political SciencePublic Choice and elsewhere) and recently published European Security since the Fall of the Berlin Wall (with Frédéric Mérand and Bastien Irondelle).
