Student fieldwork grants

The EUCE offers four grants to graduate students at the Université de Montréal or McGill University who are doing research on the European Union, and who wish to carry on fieldwork in Europe.

 

Amount of the grant:

1000 CAD/month for a maximum of two months.

 

Eligibility:

    • Be a full-time student enrolled in an MA or PhD regular program at Université de Montréal or McGill University.
    • Have a good academic record.
    • Carry on fieldwork between May 1st and December 31st, 2014 (supporting documents must be provided).

     

    Documents to be included in the application file:

    • A motivation letter explaining the research project, the place selected for fieldwork and how it contributes to the research's success (two pages maximum).
    • Letter of support from the research supervisor.
    • Transcript from the programme in which the student is currently enrolled (scanned or e-copies).

     

    Please note:

    Upon return, student who receive these fellowships must provide the EUCE with a four-page research report that summarizes the fieldwork experience and explains how the research project has moved forward. Students will present their reports during the 2014-2015 EUCE research seminar.

     

    The application must be submitted to ceue@umontreal.ca before March 15th, 2014.
